NEW ACADEMIC SESSION 2025-26, DBS SILCHAR
The inauguration of the Academic Year 2025-26 at Don Bosco School, Silchar, was held on 22nd April 2025 in the school auditorium. The program began at 8:45 a.m. with a prayer led by Sr. Maria, invoking divine blessings for the year ahead. This was followed by a soulful song of blessing performed by the students of Class XII, setting a positive and uplifting tone for the occasion.
The Principal, Rev. Fr. Surjit Tigga, warmly welcomed the Rector, Rev. Fr. Jose Josh, the Vice-Principal, Rev. Fr. Kitboklang Tyngken, all the teachers, and students, particularly the new students of Class V who were beginning their journey at Don Bosco School.
In his welcome address, the Principal introduced the theme for the year: "Empowering Potential for a Better Tomorrow." He encouraged both students and teachers to recognize and make full use of their God-given talents to build a brighter future. Fr. Tigga emphasized that Don Bosco School should be a second home for everyone, a place where learning, growth, and belonging go hand in hand.
Special advice was given to the students of Classes X and XII, urging them to begin their Board examination preparations from the very first day itself. Fr. Tigga also expressed deep gratitude to the teachers for their dedicated service in carrying forward the dream and mission of Don Bosco to guide and empower the youth.
Following the Principal’s address, the names of the new class teachers were announced, and the Vice-Principals of the school ceremoniously handed over the attendance registers to them, marking the official beginning of the new academic session.
The program concluded with the singing of the School Anthem, filling the auditorium with a renewed spirit of unity, hope, and enthusiasm for the year ahead.
