A two-day in-house training programme for the teachers of Don Bosco School, Silchar, was held on July 14 and 15, 2025, at the New Campus. The training aimed to equip the teachers with innovative teaching strategies and promote a positive classroom environment.
The programme began with a short prayer led by Fr. Surjit, who also welcomed the teachers and introduced the resource persons. The esteemed resource team included Rev. Fr. Theotimus Lakra, SDB, Director of Don Bosco Youth and Educational Services, and his colleagues Mr. Ng Alan Paul and Mrs. Claire Mahung, staff members of the same institute.
Day 1: July 14, 2025
Topic: Critical and Creative Thinking
The first day of the training focused on “Critical and Creative Thinking.” The session was informative and interactive, filled with practical examples, value-based party games, and engaging group activities. The teachers enthusiastically participated and gained insights into developing creativity and critical thinking in the classroom setting.
Day 2: July 15, 2025
Topic: Happy Classroom
The second day began at 9:00 AM and concluded at 3:00 PM. The resource persons conducted a lively session on “Happy Classroom,” highlighting effective ways to create a joyful and positive learning environment. Teachers received useful inputs and practical strategies on how to make their classrooms more engaging, supportive, and student-friendly.
The two-day training concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks proposed by Hasna Madam, appreciating the efforts of the resource persons and the enthusiastic participation of the teachers. The programme ended on a warm note with a sumptuous lunch shared by all.
