Free Eye Screening Camp at Don Bosco School, Pitra. On 11th June 2025, Don Bosco School, Pitra, organized a Free Eye Screening Camp in collaboration with the Ferrando Rehabilitation Society for the Disabled, aimed at promoting eye health and early detection of vision issues among school children. This meaningful initiative was made possible through the joint efforts of Sr. Rosalia Marak MSMHC, Optometrist from Ferrando Centre for Speech and Hearing, Nandanagar, and Sr. Christina Sangma MSMHC, Superior of Ferrando Convent, Nandanagar.
The program was a great success, with all students undergoing free eye check-ups. The screening helped many students and parents become aware of eye conditions and the need for corrective measures. Several children were identified with vision concerns and advised further care, making the camp highly beneficial to the school community.
Special thanks and appreciation go to the Sisters of Maria Nivas, Pitra, whose initiative and efforts to coordinate and bring the Ferrando team to the school made this entire event possible. Their dedication and concern for the well-being of the students were instrumental in the successful execution of the camp.
Don Bosco School, Pitra, is deeply grateful to Sr. Rosalia, Sr. Christina, and the entire team from Ferrando, along with the Sisters of Maria Nivas, for their generosity, commitment, and spirit of service. The school looks forward to more such collaborative health and wellness programs in the future.
