Farewell Program for Fr. P.A. James and Fr. Robert at Don Bosco School Lawngtlai
On June 11, 2025, a heartfelt farewell program was organized at Don Bosco School Lawngtlai to bid adieu to Fr. P.A. James, the Parish Priest, and Fr. Robert Makri, the Vice Principal. Both had served the school community with dedication and passion—Fr. James for 8 remarkable years as Parish Priest, and Fr. Robert for 3 years as Vice Principal.
The program was filled with emotional moments as students and teachers came together to express their love, gratitude, and appreciation through a series of performances such as *Alleluia Chorus* under the guidance of Miss Marina and Miss Mapuii, Western Dances by various groups of children from Primary, middle and high school sections. M.C Esther of Class X B skillfully anchored the event, keeping the audience engaged throughout.
Rev.Fr. Nelson Joseph, the Principal and Mr. M.K a senior teacher delivered heartfelt speeches, highlighting the invaluable contributions of Rev.Fr. James and Rev. Fr. Robert to the school. Their words resonated deeply with the audience, capturing the essence of the priests' selfless service.
A standout moment was the soul-stirring performance by the school brass band, playing the beautiful piece "*There Shall Be Showers of Blessings.*" The melodious tune filled the auditorium, adding a spiritual touch to the occasion.
Fr. James and Fr. Robert also shared their thoughts and gratitude, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present. Special solo performances by Miss Brenda and Sir Dina were the highlights of the program, captivating the audience with their talent and passion.
As Fr. James and Fr. Robert prepare to take up new responsibilities, the school community wishes them God's abundant blessings and guidance. Their departure marks the end of an era, but their legacy of love, compassion, and dedication will continue to inspire the students and staff of Don Bosco School Lawngtlai.
